Editorial Orientation and Publishing Features

In the current international open-access publishing landscape for philosophy, many journals tend to focus on historical textual research, pure conceptual speculation, and classical text analysis. Reflective works addressing contemporary social realities, daily life, and cross-cultural dialogue often struggle to receive adequate exposure. Furthermore, topics are frequently rooted in the European and American philosophical traditions, offering limited attention to philosophical thinking within diverse civilizational contexts, resulting in a clear disconnect between theoretical research and real-world social issues.

This journal seeks to establish a complementary and symbiotic academic ecosystem alongside existing outstanding publications in the field. While valuing in-depth exploration of fundamental philosophical theory and the history of philosophy, it equally cherishes realistic reflections oriented toward contemporary society and daily life, breaking down academic barriers between professional philosophy researchers, humanities educators, and philosophy enthusiasts. Supported by an international editorial board comprising scholars from the Americas, Europe, China, and Latin America, the journal’s research perspective is grounded in global multicultural civilizations. It encourages philosophical dialogue among different cultural traditions, avoids confinement to a single regional philosophical paradigm, and balances pure theoretical speculation with attention to real-world issues, bringing philosophical thinking into social issues, life practices, and public humanistic care. Adhering to the equal importance of theoretical speculation and realistic reflection, and leveraging the cross-regional, diverse editorial board to promote cross-cultural philosophical dialogue, bridging the gap between philosophical theory and the real world is the journal’s core strength, providing an open and diverse international publication window for philosophy researchers from various civilizational backgrounds.

In terms of publishing operations, the journal fully complies with the COPE ethics framework, clearly defining the rights and responsibilities of editors, reviewers, and authors. It has established comprehensive management systems for corrections, retractions, and data reproducibility. Fee structures are open and transparent, with no hidden costs. All published works are assigned DOIs with standardized metadata archiving to ensure traceability. The journal maintains a stable quarterly publishing schedule, eliminates reading and subscription barriers through gold open access, and supports compliant dissemination and secondary creation of works via the CC BY 4.0 license, helping philosophical ideas step out of the ivory tower and facilitating the translation of philosophical theoretical achievements into real-world social applications.
