Abstract

This paper explores the intricate relationship between urbanization and national development in the Asia - Pacific region. It analyzes the dynamic processes of urbanization, including population migration, spatial expansion, and economic restructuring, and their impacts on national economic growth, social stability, and environmental sustainability. Through case studies of several countries in the region, the paper identifies key challenges such as urban overcrowding, infrastructure shortages, and environmental pollution, and proposes corresponding policy recommendations. The findings suggest that a well - planned and sustainable urbanization process is crucial for promoting long - term national development in the Asia - Pacific region.
