Journal of Embodied Intelligence is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing the understanding, design, and application of embodied intelligence in natural and artificial systems. The journal provides a platform for interdisciplinary research that bridges cognitive science, robotics, artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and human–machine interaction. Its mission is to explore how intelligence emerges from the interaction between an agent’s body, environment, and sensory–motor processes, promoting innovative solutions in robotics, AI, and human augmentation.

The journal welcomes original research, reviews, perspectives, and short communications on topics including, but not limited to:

  • Embodied cognition and the theoretical foundations of embodied intelligence
  • Robotics and autonomous systems inspired by biological intelligence
  • Sensorimotor learning, adaptive control, and real-time perception–action loops
  • Human–robot interaction and collaborative intelligent systems
  • AI and machine learning approaches for embodied agents
  • Soft robotics, wearable devices, and bio-inspired design
  • Neurocognitive studies of embodiment in humans and animals
  • Applications of embodied intelligence in healthcare, education, and assistive technologies
