Theoretical Roots and Practical Implications of Transhumanism

Transhumanism is an intellectual and philosophical movement that aims to advance human existence beyond current biological and cognitive constraints through the strategic application of science and technology. At its core, it engages with speculative and practical questions concerning the enhancement, transformation, and potential transcendence of the human condition, including proposals such as the digitization of consciousness and various forms of technological immortality. The movement draws extensively on developments in biotechnology, nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality as foundational domains for its theoretical and practical orientations.
