New Countryside is an open access international journal，which publishes cutting-edge research findings with the aim of promoting sustainable development of all aspects of contemporary rural society, economy and culture, enhancing the quality of life of farmers and improving their living environment. It aims to provide a platform for scientists and scholars around the world to share and discuss different aspects of rural issues. Dr. Anne Ouma participated in the event on behalf of New Countryside, and discussed issues of rural sustainable development at the meeting.The event is an academic alliance among 20 Universities in Sweden and Japan,aiming to promote long-term research collaboration between the two countries.The theme of this year's event is: ‘Sharing ONE future: Integrative Knowledge and Sustainable Transformation towards a better world ’.
